Toddler (13 months-24 months)

At Johnson's Daycare, we believe in "training up a child in the way they should go as they will not turn from it, Proverbs 22:6."  Children are more aware of what is taking place in their environment and ready to move around and explore those things.

Developmentally they use their fine and gross motors skills which begin developing within their first years. Those skills are exercised to be use in a safe and responsive environment. In this area, we again focus on the whole child by planning age appropriate activities. Teachers are sensitive to types of activities that are cultivating new complex thinking skills for each child.

One most important aspect for quality childcare is a partnership between the teachers and parents to accomplish daily developmental processes. To consistently captivate our toddlers interest, we set an environment up with selected toys to match the curriculum. Our curriculum provides many opportunities to maintain excitement, build self-confidence, creativity, and embrace their curiosity.
